During April 2010 the tanz.coop invited different artist and dancers to create pieces at the drinkomathalle in vienna. During one month all together 7 pieces were created and then shown there at the Tanztag10 on 29.4.2010.
I was involved at the "Kensington Park Complex" together with Raimund Krenmüller I created the videos and somehow in this way the set design for the piece, which is mostly based upon improvisation with the given space. We used a so called actibelt to analyze the movement of the dancers. Gerhard Aigner programmed a tool which allowed us to translate the data sent by the actibelt/dancer via bluetooth into midi signals which influence the projected videos. The Videos were mapped onto the 6 windows of this former industrial used room which were covered with paper.
The setup consisted of 3 beamers, 1 laptop with modul8 2.6, 1actibelt, triple head to go card, korg nano kontrol and a lot of cables...
Together with Daniel Hopllerweger (camera) I (edit, title design) also created the video documentatio of this event. On the left you can see excerpts of the "Kensington Park Complex" video, and the teaser for tanztag2010.
